I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
